Description

You wanted to call your mother today. Did you call her? You know you should floss your teeth every day. Did you? Your back feels better if you do your stretching exercises. Did you do them? Most of us know the good things we should be doing each day but many of us just don’t seem to get around to doing them. Did I? is designed to help with that problem. This is not a complex "Getting Things Done" (GTD), task list or goal tracking application like Touch Goal, Toodledo or Omnifocus, but it will help with getting things done. Did I? is also not a complicated project or time management application but it may help with getting the pieces of a project completed and organizing your time. So what is Did I? Did I? is designed for those little, daily activities and tasks that we know we should be doing but...

Did I? starts you with some standard categories - Health & Fitness, Relationships, Personal Development, Professional Development, and Spirituality - but these can be added to or modified as you see fit. You are also provided with images for those categories or you can use your own photos. Within each category, you decide which are the tasks you want to accomplish. At the end of each day you reflect on your tasks and check off the ones you did. Did I? will then be a mirror for your life. For example, you will see how many days it has been since the last time you called your mother and did your exercises. The History page of Did I? shows you the date for the last time you did call your mother and how many times you have called her since you set the task as a goal. Feel good about those things you are doing and become motivated to work on the others. (There is something about seeing the ‘data’ that you haven’t called your mother in two weeks that is motivational.) You can even include those things you want to avoid doing. For example, you know that caffeine bothers you so one of your goals might be: Avoid caffeine.

Did I? can also be a wonderful tool for helping children accomplish the good things they should be doing, too.

The goal of Did I? is not to be the most complicated ‘to do’ list out there. The goal is to help you do what you already know you should be doing. Did I? is an application aimed at personal improvement. We designed Did I? to be a smart, powerful yet so simple an application because it’s not about what the application does; it’s about what you do.

Did I?: Smart, powerful, yet so simple

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
• From the Home Page: add, delete, and edit categories; choose images for your category icons.
• Tap on a category icon on the Home Page: add a new goal or edit existing ones; set starting and ending dates; include notes about the goal; send the goal to the Did I? list when ready by tapping on the page icon to the left of the goal. The green arrow will change to red indicating that the goal has been activated in your Did I? list. If at any time you want to deactivate the goal, tap on the page icon again and the red arrow will change back to green. This allows you to keep goals in your list even if you are not actively pursuing them at this time. You decide when you are ready to accomplish your goals.
• From the Did I? Page: check off a goal when completed that day; see how many days it has been since the last time you completed the goal. (A 'new day' begins at 12:01 am each day.)
• From the History Page: see when you first completed a goal, the last time you did it, and how many total times you have completed it.
* DELETING -- to delete a goal, or remove a goal from the "Did I?" page, simply use the standard iphone left-to-right swipe gesture.

That’s it. Simple. Smart. Powerful.
